http://onlinegdp.tn.nic.in – India's First Website for online petition filing

To redress the public grievances, an online petition filing facility has been created with the help of NIC, Chennai through the website http://onlinegdp.tn.nic.in. Instead of spending money to go in person to collectorate to file their grievances, public from any place can now file their petitions though this website and also they can view the status of their petitions filed online instantaneously. No question of petition being lost – because each petition filed is given a reference number with which you can find the action taken against that petition through this website. Additional facility is also given through the Toll free number 1077 from which you can find the status of your petitions.

Every Monday District collector reviews with officials the action taken on these petitions. Advice is also given to the officials to take follow up action within a specified time target. Every action is taken to solve the problems of the people. This website serves that purpose. Now in Krishnagiri 15 village panchayats are connected with internet. If all the Panchyats and villages are connected with internet facility and the connectivity is good – then the publics requirement of getting the Patta, Chitta, Birth/death certificates, Certificates for School Children, Encumberance Certificates, Community Certificates etc can be sanctioned within no time at the village level itself.

This software was developed by Krishnagiri district in association with NIC Chennai and launched by Honourable Krishnagiri MP E.G.Sugavanam on 04-12-2006 and has been adopted by many other districts.
